The Lotte Giants, who are dreaming of making a leap forward in the 2025 season, are sweating day and night in Taiwan, the land of promise. From the second day of the spring camp, the oldest to youngest members started training at night.
Lotte, led by head coach Kim Tae-hyung, has been holding the first spring camp at the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Center in Tainan, Taiwan since the 25th. A total of 41 players, including 13 coaching staff, 20 pitchers, 5 catchers, 9 infielders and 7 outfielders, will sweat until the 21st of next month. 먹튀검증
Lotte's training schedule for Taiwan's spring camp is tight. On the first day of the 25th, the official training began at 9 a.m. and ended at 2 p.m., but the 26th was different. Both the pitching and fielders came to the ballpark an hour earlier than other players to start training.
The team even conducted nighttime training on Wednesday. After having early dinner from 5:30 p.m., they moved to the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Center, a 10-minute drive from their lodging, at 6:40 p.m. They focused their training on each part at an indoor training center.
The fielder's group turned the bat at the indoor training ground without missing a single player, from captain and oldest member Jeon Jun-woo to the youngest, including veterans such as Jung Hoon.
Jeon and Jung-hoon focused their training on bright expressions without showing signs of exhaustion. They exchanged casual jokes with juniors from time to time, which boosted the mood. They didn't look tired at all.
Infielders including Ko Seung-min conducted short and thick defensive drills indoors under the guidance of defensive coach Kim Min-ho. In the case of Ko, he gained experience as a full-time second baseman for the first time since his debut last year, but he had to undergo surgery on his left hand after the end of the season, which left him with little time for defense training throughout the winter.
Ko was also preparing for the training camp to boost his defense capability as quickly as possible. "I worked hard to build up my body, but I feel like I'm still losing my senses. I need to get a lot of funkos and move more," Ko said in an upbeat mood.
Pitchers also concentrated on pitching balance training indoors under the guidance of coaches Joo Hyung-kwang and Lee Jae-yul. Young players including Kim Jin-wook, Lee Min-seok, and Kim Tae-hyun spent time re-recording their morning and afternoon training sessions and making up for their shortcomings.
Lotte's night training ended around 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The training was not intensive, but the team continued its dense schedule for a short period of time.
The night training session at Lotte's spring camp is not a one-off event. On the third day of Sunday evening, all the fielders in the team and the pitchers in the team informed by the coaching staff will leave the hotel and move to the indoor training center.
In Guam where Lotte had its first spring camp last year and the year before last, it was not possible for the team to conduct nighttime training. It was also difficult to naturally take the training schedule.
Taiwan is different, however. The training site is close to the accommodation and the facilities are excellent. For the coaching staff, this is the best environment to enhance training efficiency.
Coach Kim Tae-hyung has warned early on that the training volume for the first Taiwan spring camp will be higher than in previous years. Players have also faithfully formed their bodies in line with the coach's intention, and since entering Taiwan, they have been running smoothly without showing any signs of struggle.
